Week of December 5
This week in 4T, we wrap up A Christmas Carol by reading Stave 5. The children learn that Scrooge takes to heart the lessons from the spirits and changes into a kind, helpful friend. We will watch the movie the 19th or 20th and have hot chocolate and cookies! No vocabulary or reading test this week, but the regular spelling work and test for Friday. In language, we are reviewing adjectives and continuing practice of our Christmas play. The students are doing a wonderful job with background set decorations and the running through of the lines. Please help your child know their parts by practicing with them at home. The performance times are listed on the letter that came home last week. Please contact me with any questions. In math, we are practicing word problems dealing with rate, multiplication, and estimating answers. Friday will be the test day this week. Miss Michaels will be leaving us on Friday. She worked hard for our class and will be missed. Wish her luck as she looks for a teaching job of her own! Eric will be moving back to Chile this week. His last day with our class is Tuesday. Please pray for his family and him for safe travels. Our class will not be the same without him! Blessings Eric and family!!
